Rules of the Third Federal social media for consumers

Welcome to the Third Federal Social Media Guide Page

If you are a customer with a question about your account(s), or are a potential customer who just wants a little more information, please give us a call at 1-800 THIRD FED (844-7333) Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5pm ET, Friday 8:30am-5:30pm ET, or Saturday 8:30am-1:30pm ET.

Information Guide

Social media is a growing communication tool and we recognize that. However, we want to make sure that we are doing our best to protect the privacy and security of our customers. Because social media is a public forum, anyone can see your posts here. In addition, your posts may have live on the Internet well beyond the date of your message or post, so please take that into consideration when posting to our, or any social media site. We may remove posts with private information, or those which don’t fit these guidelines.

It is also important to note that Third Federal is not responsible for views other than those we post. We do review our social media accounts, but may not respond to all posts, either publicly, or privately. We don’t consider social media a suitable substitute for a real dialogue with our customers – either those with questions, or those with issues.

If you do have a question, or a concern, we pride ourselves in talking to customers, so please contact us through our Customer Care  at 1-800 THIRD FED (844-7333). You won’t find a phone menu, or hoops to jump through. You’ll get a real, live person on the other end of the phone – someone who can help you navigate the situation you are in. Our Customer Care hours are Monday-Thursday, 8:30-5:00 ET, Friday, 8:30-6pm ET, and Saturday, 8:30-1:00 ET.

Got a specific complaint? As we state above, the best way to get action on a particular issue or concern is to call us. We promise to help you to the best of our abilities. Issues aren’t handled faster because they are on social media. They are handled best when we can have an actual, live phone conversation.

When posting to our social media sites, please remember to be respectful of other people’s views and again, never post personal, identifying or confidential information, unless you want all of your high school friends, random people you met at a party and your long-lost relatives and those who just troll the Internet, to get details they probably shouldn’t have.
